Après des études de piano auprès d’Ernst Frank, Emil Paur et de formation musicale avec Vincenz Lachner, Robert Kahn est admis en 1882 à la Hochschule für Musik de Berlin où il croise certainement le chemin d’Herzogenberg. De fructueuses rencontres vont nourrir son parcours, en particulier celle du célèbre violoniste Joseph Joackim à qui il dédie sa première sonate. De retour à Mannhein, il se lie d’amitié avec J. Brahms. Après son service militaire, il s’installe à Berlin et se consacre entièrement à la composition, écrit son premier quatuor à cordes et publie sa sérénade pour orchestre, créée par le « Philharmonisches Orchester » de Berlin placé sous la direction de Hans von Bülow. Engagé en 1903 à la Hochschule für Musik de Berlin comme professeur de piano, Robert Kahn forme nombre d’élèves de talent, dont le compositeur Günter Raphaël, le chef d’orchestre Ferdinand Leitner, le pianiste Wilhem Kempff, qui deviendront ses proches amis. Fuyant les persécutions nazies, il quitte l’Allemagne pour l’Angleterre en 1939.
Profondément marquées par la période romantique, ses compositions de musique de chambre, pièces pour chœur ou pour la voix, lyriques, intimistes, rappellent bien souvent les styles de Brahms, Schumann ou encore Mendelssohn...

Né le 13 novembre 1947 à Glendale en Californie, Anthony Plog étudie la trompette avec son père puis avec Irving Bush, Thomas Stevens et James Stamp. Diplômé de l’Université de Californie à Los Angeles en 1969, il fait une brillante carrière de concertiste avant de se consacrer à la composition et l’enseignement, qu’il exerce depuis plusieurs années à la Musikhochschule de Fribourg. Son œuvre, d’une ampleur exceptionnelle, est très régulièrement jouée et se distingue par une grande originalité et des dimensions expressives rares.

Né en 1947, Yvan Jevtic étudie à l’Académie de Musique de Bellegrade et obtient ses diplômes de composition dans la classe de Stanojlo Rajicic. Il se perfectionne auprès d’Olivier Messiaen au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris puis avec Alfred Uhl à la Hochschule für Musik de Vienne. Lauréat de plusieurs concours internationaux, ses œuvres sont interprétées dans le monde entier par d’éminents solistes comme Maurice André, Radovan Vlatkovic, Gérard Caussé...
Il fait partie de plusieurs jurys internationaux et ses compositions figurent aux programmes comme pièces imposées pour les concours de Paris, Narbonne, Belgrade, Genève,...
De 1997 à 1999, il enseigne la composition et l’orchestration à l’Université Fédérale de Pelotas, au Brésil. Ivan Jevtic a composé plus de cent œuvres, musique de chambre, concertos, musique symphonique.
En 2003, il est élu membre de l'Académie Serbe des Sciences et des Arts de Belgrade.

Descendant d’une famille d’émigrés français, Heinrich von Herzogenberg étudie le droit et la philosophie à l’Université de Vienne avant de se consacrer entièrement à la musique. Sa rencontre avec Brahms est déterminante, il restera toujours l’un des plus proches amis de l’auteur du Requiem Allemand. En 1872, il part pour Leipzig où il y rencontre Philipp Spitta, auteur de la première biographie de J.S. Bach. Ils fondent ensemble le Bachverein. En 1885, Heinrich von Herzogenberg est nommé professeur de composition à la Hochschule für Musik de Berlin.
Son œuvre instrumentale de premier ordre (deux symphonies, des pièces pour piano, orgue, musique de chambre) s’inscrit dans la lignée de son grand ami Brahms et à côté de celle de Schumann, Wagner.

Trio Ap'passionato

De nombreuses pièces écrites pour cette formation sont méconnues ou n’ont jamais été enregistrées à ce jour. Jouant des contrastes subtils entre hautbois, cor et piano, le Trio Ap’passionato réunit depuis 2004 trois instrumentistes d’exception et met en valeur la richesse de ce répertoire, romantique et moderne.

Stéphane Goyeau est sollicité par les grandes formations orchestrales de Paris et à l’étranger en tant qu’hautbois, hautbois d’amour ou cor anglais. Soliste, il élargit sans cesse son répertoire par des créations de compositeurs de notre temps. Amoureux de la musique dans ce qu’elle a de plus intime, il se consacre à la musique de chambre en sonate avec piano et au sein du Trio Ap’passionato. Afin de transmettre les enseignements de ses professeurs (Gilbert Flory, Alain Denis), titulaire du Certificat d’Aptitude, Stéphane Goyeau est professeur au Conservatoire de Fresnes et au Conservatoire de Région de Reims.

Michel Coquart débute ses études musicales au Conservatoire de Dijon, puis poursuit de brillantes études en Allemagne et en Suisse. Il se perfectionne auprès de Georges Barboteu et Barry Tuckwell. Lauréat de plusieurs concours internationaux, il se produit régulièrement comme soliste, chambriste, enregistre plusieurs disques avec Jarpart'duo, et le quatuor de cors Olifant, dont deux entièrement consacrés à la musique française. Enseignant au Conservatoire de Lisieux, Michel Coquart est président des Rencontres internationales En Cors et encore de Lisieux.

Yoshiko Otsu obtient successivement ses Diplômes Supérieurs avec Prix d'Excellence et Diplômes Supérieurs de Troisième Cycle à l'Université de Senzoku-Gakuen au Japon. En 1993, elle décide de se perfectionner en Europe, simultanément à la Musikhochschüle de Saarbrucken et à l'École Normale de Musique de Paris. Lauréate de plusieurs concours internationaux, elle se produit régulièrement comme soliste, chambriste, et enregistre en 2000 un premier CD de musique française pour cor et piano. Yoshiko Otsu est enseignante au Conservatoire de Lisieux et au Conservatoire de l'Aigle.

After studying piano with Ernst Frank and Emil Paur and getting his musical training with Vincenz Lachner, Robert Kahn is accepted at the Berlin Hochschule für Musik in 1882 where he more than likely would have crossed paths with Herzogenberg. Fruitful encounters would embellish his career, one in particular with the famous violinist Joseph Joackim to whom he would dedicate his first sonata. On return from Mannheim, he develops a friendship with Brahms. After his military service, he settles in Berlin and devotes himself entirely to composition, writing his first string quartet and publishing his serenade for orchestra, created by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Hans von Bülow. Recruited at the Berlin Hochschüle für Musik as a piano lecturer in 1903, Robert Kahn would train a number of talented students, including composer Günter Raphaël, conductor Ferdinand Leitner, pianist Wilhem Kempff, who would become his close friends. In 1939, he flees from Nazi persecution in Germany and heads for England.
His chamber music compositions, pieces for choir or voice are strongly marked by the romantic, lyrical and intimate period, often reminiscent of the styles of Brahms, Schumann or Mendelssohn.

Trio Ap'passionato

Several pieces written for our training are unknown or have not yet been recorded. By using the subtle contrasts between oboe, horn and piano, since 2004, the Trio Ap'passionato has been bringing together three instruments of exception, emphasising the richness of this romantic and modern repertoire.

Stéphane Goyeau often plays the oboe, oboe d’amore and English horn for the major orchestral formations in Paris and abroad. As a soloist, he is constantly expanding his repertoire with creations by composers of our time. A lover of the most intimate music, he would concentrate on chamber music in sonata form with piano and with the Trio Ap'passionato. In order to communicate the teachings from his professors (Gilbert Flory, Alain Denis), holder of the Certificat d'Aptitude, Stéphane Goyeau now works as a lecturer at the Conservatoire de Fresnes and at the Conservatoire de Région de Reims.

Michel Coquart began his music studies at the regional conservatory in Dijon. After successfully completing his studies in Germany and Switzerland, he went on to refine his art with Georges Barboteu and Barry Tuckwell. A winner of a number of international competitions, he regularly performs as a soloist and chamber musician. He has recorded several discs with the Japart’duo and the horn quartet Olifant, two of which are solely devoted to French music. A teacher at the departmental conservatory in Lisieux, Michel Coquart is president of the “En cors et encore” International Meetings held in Lisieux.
